8th Grade Promotion Celebration and Picnic

Promotion ceremonies are divided into three groups according to Homeroom.  Each teacher will present certificates to their Homeroom class.  Parents are welcome to attend the certificate ceremony at their student's designated time and may leave with their student after the ceremony, providing a photo ID when checking their student out.  For more information on dress attire, click here.

When not participating in the promotion ceremony, qualifying 8th grade students will attend the picnic and games in the field.  Regular bussing will be provided at the end of the day.  This is a MINIMUM DAY, dismissal at 1:15 PM.

Promotion groups and times are as follows:

  • 9:20-10:30   - Pohlman, Verle, Wilkins, Oshalim, Telles and Britt
  • 10:45-11:45 - Paglierani, J. Bird, Kozek, Tolentino, and Sanders
  • 12:00-1:15   - Plaster, Brooks, Whitehouse, Carr, Herringer,
  •                        Sandler, and Andonian

  • Regular school schedule- 8:58 AM to 3:16 PM
    • Minimum day schedule - 8:58 AM to 1:15 PM
  • Student drop off / pick up
    • Busses - east end of campus
    • Parents - front of school
      • One way parking lot, east entrance and west exit
      • Watch for students darting across the parking lot and road
    • Morning tutoring for students arriving between 7:30 and 8:15 AM
      • Students report  to rooms 14B or 43.
      • Students will work on classwork, homework and organizational skills
